SPINAL ENERGETICS...
WHAT IS SPINAL ENERGETICS?
Spinal Energetics is a modality developed by Chiropractor and Counsellor Dr
Sarah Jane. It is a practice that combines Eastern and Western thought, to
interact with a person’s spine, nervous system and energetic field, to
harness a person’s own innate wisdom and ability to heal themselves.

Through light yet powerful touch (and often no touch), an organic flow of
movement and sound begins and progresses to shift, unwind, discover and
release tension, resistance, and stories that may have been stored in the body.
​
Spinal Energetics is not something we ‘do’ to a client, it is a practice of
collaboration to cultivate and support deep self-awareness in our clients to help
them soften and-or strengthen patterns of resistance and-or submission that
may be preventing wellbeing from flowing to them.
​
Influenced by various modalities, such as Network Spinal, Kundalini Activation
Process, Alpha Alignment, Shamanism, Inner Dance, Reiki, Esoteric Acupuncture,
Craniosacral Therapy, Transpersonal Psychotherapy, Trauma Release and
Pranayama. With the incorporation of philosophies of Buddhism, Hinduism,
Chinese Medicine, Yogic and Meditative traditions.

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?
Spinal Energetics is suitable for most people, but there are contraindications. It addresses issues like stress, anxiety, depression, and various physical symptoms by calming an overactive sympathetic nervous system. The response to sessions varies, and commitment to 3-6 sessions is recommended.
WHO IS IT NOT SUITABLE FOR?
Pregnant individuals in their first or final trimester are not eligible.
Contraindications also include ages under 12, heart conditions, epilepsy, recent physical injuries or surgeries, aneurysm history, recent psychiatric hospitalization, severe mental health conditions, and heavy medication use. Contact is recommended for those with contraindications before booking.

IS SPINAL ENERGETICS OFFERED ONLINE?
Yes, it absolutely is. Bookings for online sessions are in the booking section: in-person/online.

ONLINE OR IN-PERSON, WHICH IS BETTER?
Video sessions are just as effective as in-person ones, it's a matter of personal choice.

WHAT WILL I FEEL DURING THE SESSION?
During sessions, individuals may experience energy sensations, body movements, emotional releases, and visual experiences. Afterward, people report improved physical symptoms, sleep, mental clarity, and reduced anxiety. Those unfamiliar with energy work may feel less, and increasing practices like meditation and breathwork can enhance the experience.

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTER A SESSION?
Results vary between each person as we are all unique in our bodies and our life experiences. Through your Spinal Energetics session you have received an opportunity to discover, release and connect!
Each session involves both the physical body and the energetic self. This blend can allow for increased communication between your body-nervous system, and the energetic layers of self.
Each Spinal Energetics session can be a lot of information to process, unwind, reorganise and integrate, because of this it is important to give yourself nurturing time after and between each session.

It is not advised to do other forms of big energetic work after or between sessions. It is recommended to continue or begin subtle practices of energy such as gentle meditation, journalling, Yoga, massage etc.
​
After your session, it is important to be aware of the potential effects. Please note that your response to each session may vary and you will continue to respond to the session over the next 12- 72 hours, sometimes longer.

Some common responses 12-72 hours after the session can include:
Feeling disoriented or lightheaded
Feeling more energised or exhausted
Nausea
Headaches
Changes in digestion
Increased body awareness
Changes in emotional experiences & or emotional releases.
Changes in breathing patterns
Changes in sleep patterns
Discomfort in areas of your body/muscle soreness

It's important to note that you may feel calm/blissful & not experience any of the above symptoms. As mentioned above, everyone's response can be quite different.

Spinal Energetics works with your nervous system to support the release of stored tension and trauma that may be stored in your body. To support the process of integrating these releases after your session, you might like to read the section below titled: "Is there an integration period afterwards?"

If you do happen to have unpleasant symptoms after your session, please reach out for additional support if you're concerned.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
Session duration varies anywhere from 30-60 minutes.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE A SESSION?
When first starting out on your Spinal Energetics journey, it's advised in the initial stages to have a session every 1-2 weeks, no later than every 2 weeks. This is to allow our work within the first 3-12 sessions to expand your energy field & enhance your body & mind connection. How fast this happens depends on you.

Once we've expanded your energy field and established a strong body-mind connection, it's not uncommon to drop sessions to monthly, then as needed. You will know when you need another session, your body will start calling - you might notice an increase in tension/pain etc.

IS SPINAL ENERGETICS A ONE SESSION FIX?
Absolutely not. Spinal Energetics is not a one-session fix; you don’t go to the gym, work out once and expect to be fit, toned and healthy. Spinal Energetics is the same. It takes time & practice. It's a progression, a deliberate evolution of your spine and self, where we build on each session.
There are stages of progression within your Spinal Energetics journey. The journey through the stages of Spinal Energetics is a voyage of self-discovery and transformation. It is different for each person & happens on each person's own timeline. Each stage unveils new dimensions of well-being, supporting a healthier, harmonious life.
Embarking on the transformative journey through the stages of Spinal Energetics, is a symphony of alignment, awareness, and well-being. Uncovering your layers and returning to wholeness takes time.

WHAT DO I NEED TO ATTEND AN ONLINE SESSION WITH YOU?
Firstly, a booking!
For the actual online session you will need:
A smart phone/laptop/device with video capability.
Stable internet connection - preferably connected to wifi.
A quiet & comfortable place to lay down - either on a bed or on the floor on a yoga mat/rug, where you will be uninterrupted for 30-60 minutes. Make this space yummy for your session. You might light to diffuse some essential oils or have your favourite blanket available. Do whatever you need to do, to make this time and space comfortable for you.
Dim the lights if you need to.
Wear comfortable clothing - think lounge/yoga wear.
Have some water close by.

CAN YOU SEE MORE THAN ONE PERSON AT AT TIME?
Yes I can! You can book in with a friend, loved one or as a small group.

I'VE SEEN THE VIDEOS...WILL I MOVE IN MY FIRST SESSION?
Not necessarily! Individual responses to the treatment vary significantly. Usually in the first session you can expect to see a deeper breathing pattern, the release of physical tension & maybe some twitches & pops in the body, but usually no movement.
It is not uncommon however for someone to have a lot of movement in the first session, especially if they are someone who already works in the energy therapy space or is a yoga teach etc.
It's important to highlight, that while some may exhibit minimal movement and others more pronounced movement during their initial session, the extent of movement is not indicative of the depth or benefits they might derive. It's crucial to recognize that the level of movement doesn't directly correspond to the therapeutic value or outcomes of the session.
IS THERE AN INTEGRATION PERIOD AFTERWARDS?
YES! The integration process is one of the most crucial elements to your session, ensuring that the energetic shifts, insights, and healing experienced during your sessions becomes a tangible and lasting part of your daily life & overall well-being.
By allowing time for assimilation, integration provides a stable foundation for the changes initiated during the energy session, preventing potential overwhelm and promoting a smoother transition.
It is through the intentional and gradual integration of these transformative energies that individuals can bring a balanced, harmonious connection between mind, body, and spirit, leading to a holistic sense of healing and personal evolution.

Integration may take up to three days, sometimes longer depending on your own unique processing requirements. Spinal Energetics works with the nervous system using gentle touch, movement, and awareness exercises to release trauma.
To aid integration, clients are advised to take it easy, engage in gentle movement or a walk, ground themselves in nature, take a shower or bath, stay hydrated, and focus on self-nurturing.

Don’t rush the integration phase or the gradual shifts, embrace them, because any true change worth having unfolds over time.

ARE ALL SESSIONS VIDEO RECORDED?
No. The only sessions that are recorded are the sessions where the client has given me consent to do so. Unless consent is given in booking and intake forms, I don't record.

REIKI...
WHAT IS REIKI?
Reiki is a holistic energy therapy that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. It was developed by Japanese Buddhist monk, Mikao Usui. The word "Reiki" is a combination of two Japanese words: "Rei," which means universal, and "Ki," which means life energy or vital force. Thus, Reiki can be translated as "universal life energy."

Mikao Usui is credited with the discovery of Reiki after undergoing a spiritual experience on Mount Kurama in Kyoto, Japan, in the early 1920s. During his meditation and fasting on the mountain, he received a powerful spiritual awakening and the knowledge of a healing energy that could be accessed and shared.
​
Following this experience, Usui began practicing and teaching this technique, and he established the Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai, an organization dedicated to the teaching and practice of Reiki. The practice of Reiki spread to the Western world in the latter half of the 20th century, and various Reiki traditions and schools have since evolved.
​
The process of Reiki is characterized by the practitioner channeling universal life energy through their body & hands, while placing them on the recipients body to promote healing, relaxation, and balance in the recipient. Sessions are conducted fully clothed.

SOUND/VIBRATION THERAPY...
WHAT IS SOUND/VIBRATION THERAPY?
Sound or vibration therapy is a holistic healing approach that uses the power of sound to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This therapeutic method harnesses the vibrational qualities of sound waves to influence the body's energy systems and enhance overall health. There are various forms of sound therapy, each utilizing different sound sources and techniques.
Sound tools I use:

Tuning Forks:
Tuning forks are precision-tuned metal instruments that produce specific frequencies when struck. Practitioners may place vibrating tuning forks on specific points on the body, or they may use them in the vicinity of the body to promote healing and balance.
​
Singing Bowls:
Tibetan inging bowls, made of metal, produce harmonic tones when struck or rubbed with a mallet. The vibrations from the singing bowl are believed to resonate with the body's energy centers, promoting relaxation and balancing energy.
Sound baths:
Sound baths involve immersing individuals in a therapeutic environment filled with various sounds, such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, or other instruments. Participants lie down and absorb the vibrations, which can induce a state of deep relaxation and meditation.

The underlying principle of sound therapy is based on the idea that different frequencies and vibrations can interact with the body's energy systems, including the nervous system and subtle energy fields, to bring about healing effects. Sound therapy is considered a complementary practice and is often used in conjunction with other forms of healthcare.

One or more of these celestial vibrational tools may be used in your session to enhance the energy.

ALPHA ALIGNMENT...
WHAT IS ALPHA ALIGNMENT?
Alpha Alignment, comprises of a set of physical movements strategically designed to swiftly guide the body out of states of stress, discomfort, or dis-ease.

By harmonizing the left and right hemispheres of the brain into an 'alpha-wave' healing state, this technique realigns the body's nervous system, restoring a state of equilibrium (homeostasis). Consequently, a more natural energy flow resumes, positively impacting physical, mental, emotional, energetic, structural, muscular, vascular, and chemical levels throughout the body. The process involves removing or alleviating blockages and restrictions.

Achieving alignment enables your awareness to function in a balanced, natural manner, preventing over-reaction to life's subtle, negative stresses and avoiding withdrawal into a detached, brain-locked state.

Alpha Alignment is suitable for individuals of all ages, from tiny babies to pregnant women and the elderly, with benefits felt immediately or within 24-96 hours.

CAN THIS BE DONE ONLINE?
Unfortunately, no. Alpha Alignment is a hands on, in-person modality, that requires force and touch.

POST SESSION BENEFITS:
